Haftom Kesete and Associates Law Office (HLO)'s Construction and Real Estate Practice Group offers comprehensive and diverse legal advice on all aspects of construction and real estate law. In collaboration with the Corporate & Finance Practice Group, the Construction and Real Estate Practice Group specializes in land lease transactions, such as drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms. The team assists clients in various perspectives of real estate, including the establishment of real estate corporations, property procurement, due diligence, land lease transfer for development, and drafting contracts of sale, servitude, mortgage, financing, entitlements, and disposition. Our expertise is a combination of our understanding of the marketplace and the rapidly evolving regulatory challenges, plus experience and a commercially minded approach. In addition to their legal education, some team members hold technical degrees in civil engineering and possess practical construction experience, enabling them to provide cost-effective and practical solutions. Some of the transactions in which HLO has been involved include hotel projects, luxury apartments, mega real estate projects, and the construction of roads, bridges, railway lines, power transmission and distribution lines, and industries. HLO’s Construction and Real Estate Practice Group also assists several international missions and delegations in Ethiopia (bi- and multilateral) as well as NGOs by providing advice and counsel in all matters related to real estate, property acquisition, and rental agreements.
